LCHD STUDIO RULES

  1. Arrive to class 5 minutes prior to your scheduled class time to allow time for tying ghillies.

  2. No food in the dance area, clear liquids only. Do not chew gum or eat during class. Food must be kept outside the dance area.

  3. Ghillies, socks, or other dance shoes only on the dance floor. No street shoes on the dance floor.

  4. The studio is a is a place to learn and improve oneself. Rowdy behavior, foul language, rough housing, disrespect, etc. will not be tolerated at LCHD.

  5. Instructors are to be referred to as “Miss ______” or “Mr. ______”

  6. All dancers are expected to be considerate and well-behaved. Older students are expected to set a good example to younger students; advanced students are expected to set a good example to new students and to help such students whenever necessary.

  7. Students are not to attend class while sick. If a student appears visibly sick during class, he or she will be dismissed from class and all dancers in the same class will be required to sanitize their hands and remain distant from each other for the remainder of class.

  8. If a student fails to conduct him or herself in an acceptable manner during class, the instructor reserves the right to dismiss the student from class.

  9. The purpose of coming to the studio is to learn and perfect dancing, cultivate friendships, and have fun. Therefore, sensitive social and political issues as well as age inappropriate discussions are not welcome at our studio or while representing LCHD.

  10. Dancers must follow the studio dress code for every class. (Long-sleeve shirts, leggings, dresses, ect. do not follow the dress code and dancers will not be allowed into class without proper dancing attire) No loose clothing that is not suitable for exercising!

    • T-shirt or tank top

    • Exercise shorts (preferred) or practice kilt

    • Knee-high socks

    • Ghillies

    • No loose jewelry

    • Hair pulled back out of face

ATTENDANCE POLICY:
If a dancer misses any classes, he or she may make them up over the next 2 weeks. Dancers may be allowed to make up classes in the class level below them. Students may not attend classes higher than their dancing level unless the dancer receives instructor approval. We do not offer make-up classes for holidays.

LCHD does not prorate semester pricing, unless the dancer is gone for more than 4 consecutive weeks of classes. Please contact the instructor for more information.

If a dancer must miss a class, he or she should let the instructor know before class that week.


HOLIDAYS AND CLOSURES:
Our studio is closed for all of the following national holidays:

  • Christmas Day

  • Thanksgiving

  • Easter

  • Independence Day

  • Memorial Day

We do not close for spring break. If the weather is not permitting and we need to cancel classes, we will send you an email and phone message. Tuition is not subject to adjustment for closures.

In the event of a studio closure, we make every attempt possible to offer makeup classes in the same week if weather permits.
